Legacy Roofing Helps With Last-Minute Makeover
Redmond roofer comes through in a pinch when delays threaten completion of local home on TV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
November, 2005 - Hollywood headed to Port Orchard, Washington to film an upcoming episode of ABC's hit series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Legacy Roofing was fortunate to have the opportunity to lend a much needed helping hand.
Harsh weather and unforeseen construction delays left the crew short-handed as they struggled to complete construction of a spacious new home in just seven days. Realizing the time sensitive situation, project organizers issued a call for help to local laborers, and Legacy immediately responded. With a strong commitment to the community, Legacy's crew was eager to offer its expertise in order to help complete the new home being built for a local deserving family.
Legacy quickly assembled a roofing crew of 12, and headed to the project site. Working for more than 10 hours on a Saturday afternoon, Legacy's crew was a major force in getting the roof installed as we joined hundreds of organizers and local volunteers (including many volunteers who also answered the call for help) that were feverishly working to complete all aspects of the home. With a lot of teamwork, and under the direction of local home builder Howland Homes and the visiting Hollywood powers, the impressive home was finished just in time for the family's return. The episode was scheduled to air January 22 at 8PM PST on ABC.
